Volunteers from the Guide Dogs charity in Oxfordshire raised £1,000 at a stall in Abingdon Market Place.
October is a major fundraising month for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and the Oxfordshire volunteers visited the town to raise funds by selling merchandise such as books, jigsaws, Christmas cards, and cuddly toys.
Volunteer Yvonne Crane, along with her husband Terry, ran the stall and brought guide dogs Flo and Velvet, who have had 30 and 23 puppies respectively to become guide dogs.
Having a guide dog makes a big difference for blind or partially-sighted people and gives them the confidence to go out on their own. These Labradors are also good company and when people see them out and about they come over to talk to the owners.
The event was a success, with the volunteers raising a significant amount for the charity.
