Couple Found Dead in Car Days Before Anniversary
A couple in Illinois was found dead in a car, just days before celebrating their first wedding anniversary, according to police.
Investigators reported that around 11:45 p.m. on October 6, an officer noticed a parked vehicle with its hazard lights on, where 29-year-old Rachel Dumovich, the driver, and Brandon were found dead inside the car.
Harvard police stated that the preliminary investigation showed each had a gunshot wound, and a firearm was found inside the vehicle.
The couple got married on October 12, 2024, after staying friends for 15 years and starting to date in 2022. Brandon proposed in the summer of 2023 on Big Cedar Lake in Slinger, according to their wedding page on The Knot.
An autopsy was scheduled for October 9, according to the coroner’s office.
