AUSA 2025: Sikorsky Unveils Black Hawk-Based Unmanned S-70 U-Hawk

Lockheed Martin's Sikorsky subsidiary unveiled an S-70U-Hawk unmanned aircraft system (UAS) prototype at the Association of the United States Army's annual symposium.

The U-Hawk is based on a repurposed UH-60L Black Hawk and features 25% more cargo space than the original aircraft.

Ramsey Bentley, Sikorsky Advanced Programs Business Development director, stated that the company "completely removed the cockpit, the pilot, and also the crew chief stations of the aircraft" to create the U-Hawk.

The U-Hawk also includes clamshell doors on the nose that open to the side, allowing them to function while the rotor spins.
