Cardinal Pietro Parolin celebrated a Mass marking the first liturgical memorial of St. Carlo Acutis, who was canonized by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, not Pope Leo XIV.
Many, when they see his picture, are touched by his smile: Carlo spoke of Jesus above all with his radiant, luminous and smiling face.
Cardinal Parolin said in his homily, referencing St. Paul's exhortation: "Rejoice in the Lord always". The cardinal also described Carlo as a "new pearl of this city of saints and a great gift for the Church".
