It Prequel Series: Welcome to Derry
The Stephen King universe is expanding with the upcoming series, It: Welcome to Derry, a horror prequel that explores the terrors caused by Pennywise in Derry, Maine.
Bill Skarsgard will reprise his iconic role, and Andy Muschietti will direct the first few episodes. The series will introduce a younger version of Dick Hallorann, a fan-favorite character from The Shining, played by Chris Chalk.
The story takes place 27 years before Pennywise's encounter with the Losers Club and will feature new characters, as well as familiar ones, including a younger Dick Hallorann.
A familiar character is in the It prequel, Welcome to Derry, to face Pennywise.
