New Roundabout in Portlaoise
A new roundabout has been built in Portlaoise to serve two housing estates under construction.
According to Laois County Council, the Borris Road Roundabout is now open to traffic, although some work remains to be completed, including the installation of public lighting and minor traffic signage amendments.
- The roundabout serves the Dargan Woods and Pheasant Lane developments.
- Dargan Woods is a private development of 72 houses, with an additional 22 houses recently granted permission.
Laois County Council stated that "there are some items to be completed to close out the project"
