Ripple has partnered with Immunefi to launch a $200,000 "attackathon" aimed at discovering bugs in the XRP Ledger lending protocol.
The company is incentivizing white hat hackers to identify security flaws in the proposed protocol, with rewards of up to $200,000. This initiative focuses on finding potential flaws that impact fund security and vault solvency.
"The XRPL community is preparing for one of its most significant upgrades yet with the proposed lending protocol, which is expected to go to validator vote later this year. Before any major amendment like this moves forward, it’s critical to ensure the code is as secure and resilient as possible,"
said RippleX Head of Product Jasmine Cooper.
Ripple's attackathon is part of its efforts to ensure the security and resilience of the XRP Ledger lending protocol before its launch.
