Trial Date Set for Four Drug Conspiracy Defendants

A trial date has been set for four Wise County residents accused of a large meth distribution conspiracy, while a fifth defendant is scheduled to enter a guilty plea.

The defendants, April Marie Swindle, 36, of Coeburn; Misty Ann Davis, 50, of Saint Paul; Justin Wayne Dean, 23, of Norton; Brandon Mark Howell, 40, of Coeburn; and William Matthias Mills, 41, of Coeburn, were indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, as well as two or more counts each of meth trafficking.

Swindle and Mills are also charged with using a gun in a drug trafficking crime.

Trial is scheduled for April 27 for Swindle, Dean, Howell, and Mills.
