Signal Mountain Diverts Large Amount Of Cardboard From Landfill
Signal Mountain has a new contract with Waste Connections for garbage and construction debris disposal services.
A total of $9,660 was collected from sanitation billing for July through September, with $3,500 remaining outstanding.
The city has successfully diverted a large amount of cardboard from municipal solid waste, redirecting 14 tons to be recycled, in addition to the 64 tons of cardboard that can be sold.

This achievement is a result of 21,306 visits to the recycling center by citizens.
