Man Arrested After Pedestrians Struck in City Parking Lot

A 47-year-old man from Calgary is facing charges in connection with an incident where multiple pedestrians were struck by a vehicle at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena parking lot.

On Friday evening, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Lethbridge police and EMS responded to numerous 911 calls reporting that a vehicle had struck multiple pedestrians and narrowly missed several more in the parking lot.

The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival. A 77-year-old female, a 77-year-old male, and a 46-year-old male sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital in stable condition.

The same vehicle then struck a Subaru Outback in the area of Mayor Magrath Drive and Scenic Drive South, but did not stop.
