Podbury a Shining Example
Paul Podbury, co-president of the Woodend-Hesket Football Netball Club, has been named the 2025 AFL Victoria Metropolitan Community Volunteer of the Year.
Congratulations have been pouring in after he received the award at Ikon Park, where he was met with sustained applause.

at this level, he said later. His wife Anya and representatives from the Riddell District Football Netball League attended the function to show their support.
As a well-known Woodend businessman and accountant, Podbury is a strong believer in the value of volunteerism, and he has certainly set a shining example.
