Fiorentina's medical director, Luca Pengue, has provided an update on Moise Kean's ankle injury, ruling out any serious damage.
Kean was substituted off in Italy's win over Estonia after scoring the opening goal and was not available for the 3-0 win over Israel on Tuesday.
“Moise returned on Monday evening, and we immediately started treatment,” said the Fiorentina doctor. “Fortunately, the tests he underwent did not show any kind of lesion, but clearly there was a sprain, so we’re working to get him back on the field as soon as possible. So far, everything is going well. We’ll assess his condition day by day.
Kean continues to train separately ahead of the Serie A game against AC Milan.
Author's summary: Kean's injury not serious.
