Knoll's 'Biboni' Sofa: A Blend of 1970s Icons and Michelin Man Inspiration

Architects Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee designed the 'Biboni' sofa for Knoll, drawing inspiration from 1970s design icons, Bibendum, and macaroni.

The 'Biboni' collection features curves that envelop the body and a frame that appears to float, creating a sense of informality and precision.

The "Biboni" has a chubbiness that feels welcoming and informal,' says Johnston. 'It also has the precision and purity of a centrepiece in a room.

The collection includes two-, three-, and four-seaters, as well as sectionals with chaise options.

Author's summary: Biboni sofa combines 1970s style with modern curves.
