The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Ben Obi, a former Anambra lawmaker, as the new secretary of its National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) ahead of the party's 2025 elective national convention.
The announcement was made by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja through its publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba.
Ben Obi will take over from Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, who recently left the opposition party to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The PDP's national convention is scheduled to take place on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The NWC expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the NCOC, led by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, to ensure a smooth and credible exercise.
