Cadillac moves to quell F1 rivals’ fears over Ferrari car loan plan

Cadillac Addresses F1 Rivals' Concerns

Cadillac's team principal, Graeme Lowdon, has moved to alleviate concerns about the team gaining an unfair advantage by testing its crews in live conditions with a partner team, such as Ferrari.

As Cadillac prepares for its Formula 1 debut in 2026, the team has been utilizing simulators to run full race-weekend rehearsals from mission-control rooms in Silverstone and Charlotte. The team's roster includes drivers Simon Pagenaud, Charlie Eastwood, Pietro Fittipaldi, Colton Herta, and Sergio Perez.

However, the team is still awaiting the completion of its 2026 car, which is being built from scratch under next year's regulations, and therefore cannot test its own car on track.

No concerns about an unfair edge.
