Rotterdam Lashers' Strike Wins New Agreement

Dockworkers from FNV Havens, an affiliate of the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF), have won improved pay and conditions after a concerted strike action brought the Port of Rotterdam to a standstill.

The strike, the largest ever seen in the Port of Rotterdam, Europe's busiest and largest port, resulted in a new agreement guaranteeing the safety, health, and pay of lashers.
