Air Ambulance Fight Comes to an End
Campaigners have conceded defeat as the final appeal to save the Wales Air Ambulance base in Welshpool has been refused by the Court of Appeal.
The base, along with the one in Caernarfon, will be closed in favour of a new one in north east Wales. Despite efforts to stop the closure, the decision is now final.
Although the air ambulance service will no longer be available, a land vehicle is expected to replace it, providing round-the-clock immediate responses for the local area.
The famous red helicopters will no longer fly out of the local airport next year.
