Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night, as part of the search for Joseph Hess.
Joseph Hess, a 32-year-old man from Frankfurt, NY, is accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday. During the robbery, he allegedly stole the woman's pocketbook and ran over her with his car, leaving her with compound leg fractures.
- The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.
- Police were searching for Hess at the Econo Lodge, where they broke a window and used a loudspeaker to call out his name.
