The Terrifier films, featuring a clown named Art, originated from short segments in the anthology All Hallows' Eve and have since grossed significant amounts, with the sequel making $15 million on a $250,000 budget and the third installment making $90 million on a $2 million budget.
However, a particular scene in the movie, where a woman is reportedly suspended upside down and cut in half, has deterred the author from watching the films.
