Arkansas Baseball Tops Little Rock in Exhibition Game
Arkansas defeated Little Rock 8-1 in an exhibition game on Friday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Maika Niu and TJ Pompey each homered, with Niu hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- Niu's grand slam traveled 373 feet and exited his bat at 103 mph.
- The slam came against Little Rock's Malcolm Brown, who had Niu down in the count before the hit.
“He's really taken to the outfield and he can beat you in so many ways,” Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said of Niu. “He's got a lot of tools.”
Arkansas will play Dallas Baptist on Saturday at 1 p.m. to close out its exhibition weekend.
