Girls State Cross Country: Ogden's Avery Barton Finishes as 3A Runner-up
Avery Barton, from Ogden High, finished as the state runner-up in the 3A cross country championships at Sugar House Park, with a time of 17:57.31.
The 3A champion was Carbon senior Rozlyn Stowe, with a time of 17:12.67.
This was Barton's third time running the course, and her first time representing Ogden High after transferring from Bonneville this fall.
Avery Barton reunited with her old teammates earlier this fall, during her second career City-County victory.
Avery Barton experienced physical and mental exhaustion after the race, a familiar feeling for her.
