Turner Prize winner Jasleen Kaur will unveil a new sculpture, Was.Is.Will.Be, in Thamesmead, south east London, on 28 November.
The work, Kaur's first permanent public art piece, will be located at Southmere Lake in Cygnet Square and is funded by Peabody, a non-profit housing association.
A creative studio, including residents Comfort Adeneye and Gonzalo Fuentes, helped select the work, in partnership with Studio Danmole, Company, and Joseph Gray.
Kaur was awarded the Turner Prize in 2024 for her striking installation of a red Ford Escort draped with an enormous cotton doily.
