Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 with a $4.99 paid upgrade pack and a major free content update launching January 15, 2025.
Existing Switch owners can purchase a Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack for $4.99, allowing them to carry over progress and access the new console's enhancements.
Players who already own New Horizons on the original Switch will be able to purchase a Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack for $4.99.
The game's native Nintendo Switch 2 edition and major free content update will launch on January 15, 2026.
