The Burton Panther Football Team ended the regular season with their second straight tough luck loss as they fell to Granger 35-33.
The Lions got on the scoreboard first by returning the opening kickoff 60 yards for a touchdown and then getting the two-point conversion to take an early 8-0 lead.
Burton would answer as Kayden Patterson threw a 72-yard touchdown pass to Braydon Martin to cut the lead to 8-6. Rueben Rodriguez missed the extra point.
Granger reached the end zone on a 50-yard touchdown to increase their advantage to 14-6. Patterson followed up with a 36-yard touchdown run, and Rodriguez made the PAT to cut the lead to 14-13.
The Lions scored their third touchdown of the first quarter on a 35-yard run to make it 21-13.
