Vancouver Whitecaps FC are moving on to the Western Conference semifinal after a thrilling shootout victory over FC Dallas.

Ralph Priso scored his first goal of the season to tie Game 2, sending the match to a shootout, which the Whitecaps won at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Priso's goal was his third career MLS goal and made him the 21st player to score for the Whitecaps in MLS play this season, setting a new league record.

FC Dallas had taken the lead in the 25th minute with a goal from Petar Musa, but the Whitecaps were able to equalize and ultimately win in the shootout. The match was played in front of 11,004 fans.

This marks the third time the Whitecaps have reached the MLS Western Conference semifinal stage, and they will now aim to reach the conference final for the first time in club history.
