'Just sort it out!' is a reasonable request for the profession to make of the Law Society.
There is a chasm between what many would like the Society to do, and what it can actually do, following recent Solicitors Regulation Authority disasters such as the collapses of Axiom Ince and SSB Law.
Just sort it out!
These events have been well analysed in reports and commentaries, so instead, the focus will be on the perils to an innocent party – the Law Society, and how solicitors can serve their clients confident that they have a competent regulator to maintain their reputation.
