Success Story of Poultry Farmers in Bong
A Liberian poultry farmer has seen significant success through the Rural Economic Transformation Project (RETRAP). Tryphaina's Poultry and Farm in Gbarnga City, Bong County, is now a leading example of agricultural success in Liberia.
Under the leadership of Miss Tryphaina Nyahn, the farm has 1,800 chickens and a thriving vegetable production venture, making it one of the largest poultry farms in the country.
RETRAP's intervention was a game-changer, especially in enhancing the multiplication of chicks.
- RETRAP provided 2,000 chicks and essential chicken feed to poultry farmers in Bong County.
- The project is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture Liberia and funded by the World Bank.
