The Supreme Court rejected a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a special investigation team (SIT) probe into allegations by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on anomalies in voters' lists.
"Pursue your remedy wherever you want,"
said Justice Surya Kant. The petitioner was told to pursue alternate remedies as the Court stated that a writ petition filed in public interest shall not be entertained.
The Court's decision was made by a Bench of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi.
