Violent Clashes in Lahore
At least one police officer and three protesters were killed in Lahore as a protest against Israel turned violent. The clashes occurred between members of the far-Right Islamist party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and security personnel.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif condemned the TLP protest, calling it an 'insult to religion'. The incident happened while Pakistan PM Sharif was in Egypt to attend the signing of the Trump-brokered Gaza peace plan.
