Supreme Court Censures Madras HC Judge
The Supreme Court criticized Justice N Senthilkumar of the Madras High Court for hearing petitions related to the TVK rally stampede in Tamil Nadu without jurisdiction.
A stampede during a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) political rally on September 27 resulted in at least 41 deaths.
The Supreme Court ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident.
A Committee headed by Justice Ajay Rastogi will supervise the investigation.
