The United States has unveiled an unmanned version of the Black Hawk helicopter, named the S-70UAS U-Hawk.
Thanks to the absence of a cab, the cargo area volume has increased by 25%. The helicopter features a loading platform with hinged doors at the front of the fuselage.
According to Sikorsky vice president Rich Benton, the manufacturer can quickly convert conventional helicopters into drones on a large scale.
The company developed the unmanned helicopter in just ten months.
The U-Hawk can be used for carrying various cargoes and launching small drones.
