The Saskatoon Hilltops have overcome adversity throughout the season, and their regular-season finale was no exception. The team faced rain, wind, and snow, as well as a lengthy delay in the second half.
“It is what it is,”said Hilltops head coach Tom Sargeant.
Despite the challenging conditions, the Hilltops secured a 31-6 victory over the Calgary Colts at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex. The team now moves on to the Prairie Football Conference playoffs, facing the Winnipeg Rifles in the semifinal.
According to Coach Sargeant, the question remains whether the Hilltops are ready for a long playoff run.
“We’re going to find out,”he stated.
