Five teenagers have had their charges upgraded to murder following an alleged fatal stabbing south of Wollongong earlier this year.
On Tuesday, 28 January 2025, emergency services were called to Saturn Crescent, Dunmore, after a 25-year-old man was found suffering serious stab wounds.
Despite being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, the man could not be revived.
- Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District established Strike Force Feods to investigate the incident.
- The investigation was assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
Initial investigations revealed the man had allegedly been stabbed during a fight involving multiple people who left in an SUV.
The vehicle was later recovered in Albion Park Rail and seized for forensic examination.
A 15-year-old boy and a 38-year-old woman were charged with murder and remain before the court.
