Temple Emanuel, a synagogue in Pueblo, has stood for 125 years as a testament to the resilience of the local Jewish community.
The congregation believes strongly that the temple is not only the synagogue for the Jewish community, but it also belongs to the citizens of Pueblo.
The temple, known as the “Little Jewelbox,” features a stunning Star of David in a stained glass window, surrounded by radiant beams of color. The congregation recently celebrated Simchat Torah with joyful songs and dance, marking the cycle of Torah readings.
According to the temple’s board president, Micheal Atlas-Acuña, these Torahs hold significant importance in the community.
