Virtual Cancer Screening Clinic Expands to Vancouver Island
CanScreen, a virtual cancer-screening clinic, has expanded its services to all of Vancouver Island.
The clinic, which was started in 2023 by two doctors in Victoria, provides cancer screening services to patients without a family doctor.
To access the service, patients can visit www.canscreenbc.com to book a test.
Dr. Stuart Bax stated that the virtual clinic was created to address the challenges of booking screenings without a family doctor.
Once the test is completed, the results are sent to Dr. Stuart Bax, who will contact the patient to discuss the findings and schedule a follow-up appointment with a clinician in Port Alberni, Comox, or Nanaimo if necessary.
