Rockets Top Pelicans in Preseason Play

The New Orleans Pelicans fought back from a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit but fell to the Houston Rockets 130-128 in a preseason game.

Eight New Orleans players scored in double figures. The game was tied at 128-128 with 21.9 seconds left after two free throws by the Pelicans' Bryce McGowens.

Aaron Holiday hit a 12-foot floater in the lane to provide the final margin with 1.8 seconds on the clock.

Rookie Jeremiah Fears led the Pelicans with 20 points in 22 minutes. The Pelicans had eight players score in double figures.

The game ended with Fears missing a 33-foot turnaround jumper off the back of the rim as the final buzzer sounded.
