College Strike a Symptom of a Larger Issue
According to Liberal MPP John Fraser, the ongoing college strike in Ontario is a symptom of a larger problem. Fraser, the critic for labour and education, recently met with union leaders in Thunder Bay.
"This thing that we built, the college system, is being allowed to wither,"
Fraser stated, adding that
"The strike is just symptomatic of that."The strike, which has been ongoing for almost a month, involves members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union picketing outside colleges across Ontario, including Confederation College.
