Canadian Men's Soccer Team Holds Colombia to Scoreless Draw

Canada's 26th-ranked men's soccer team gave a strong effort to hold 13th-ranked Colombia to a scoreless draw in an international friendly match.

The Canadian team, led by midfielder Stephen Eustaquio and winger Tajon Buchanan, proved to be a challenge for the South American team.

"I think it was a good performance, not a great performance … I felt like most of the game we were in fourth or fifth gear and we could have really pushed ourselves into sixth gear,"

Canada coach Jesse Marsch said, expressing his belief that the team could have performed better. He added,

"We are the type of team that can play in these games, be better in these games and win these games."

Scoring chances were scarce for both teams until the final minutes, when the game became more frenetic.

Author's summary: Canada holds Colombia to a scoreless draw in soccer friendly.
