Recent heavy rainfall in Colorado has caused significant flooding in Pagosa Springs, affecting local businesses.
The Springs Resort, a popular destination, has felt the effects of the flood waters. According to Jesse Hensle, Vice President of Marketing for The Springs Resort, the worst of the flooding occurred on Saturday around 6pm.
“It was Saturday by about 6pm, the worst of the weather had started or worst of the water started really coming in. And then that’s when it was the most impactful.”
Fortunately, most of the resort remained safe, with the exception of some hot spring pools. Out of 50 pools, only 10 were temporarily lost due to flooding. Resort staff are currently cleaning some of these pools as they were underwater.
Despite the need to evacuate guests to safer locations within the resort, they reportedly still had a enjoyable time.
