Zambia: Merit-Based Transfers for Teachers in Mwense District
The Mwense District Administration office is working with the Department of Education to ensure that teacher promotions and transfers are based on merit.
According to District Administrative Officer Phillip Muonga, a transparent system will motivate teachers to work hard in the district.
“As a government, we want to see teachers being promoted and transferred on merit so that everyone can be motivated to work hard,”
Mr. Muonga stated that the government is committed to promoting teachers based on performance and competence.
