Medical Lecturers' Union Denies Strike Claims
The Nigerian Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA) has dismissed reports of its members embarking on an industrial strike action.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the association's leaders, including President Dr. Nosa Lancy-Orhue, Secretary-General Dr. Abdulrahman Shehu, and National Liaison Officer/Organising Secretary Dr. Muhammad Askira, clarified that NAMDA remains fully operational and committed to its mandate.
NAMDA represents medical lecturers in universities, tertiary health, and research institutions, overseeing both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education across the country.
