Amazon Renames Fire TV Stick 4K to Reduce Confusion
The Fire TV Stick 4K has been renamed to the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus to simplify Amazon's streaming stick lineup.
Amazon recently unveiled the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, a $40 entry-level 4K streaming device, which led to confusion with the existing Fire TV Stick 4K.
As Amazon acknowledged, the naming scheme made it difficult to differentiate between the two devices, with the Fire TV Stick 4K being a superior streaming stick in terms of hardware and features.
Now, customers can choose from three 4K Fire TV Stick models: the 4K Select, 4K Plus, and 4K Max.
Amazon has officially announced that its Fire TV Stick 4K has been renamed to the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus.
