A tropical wave is being monitored by the National Hurricane Center as it tracks westward at 15 to 20 mph over the next several days.
Forecasters say the system is not expected to organize in the near term, with development chances through 48 hours remaining low, near zero percent.
However, some slow development could occur once the wave reaches the central Caribbean Sea by the middle of next week.
As of now, the National Hurricane Center gives the disturbance a 20 percent chance of tropical formation over the next seven days.
