Taylor Swift Fans Flood German Museum
A German museum has been overrun by Taylor Swift fans due to a painting's resemblance to her "The Fate of Ophelia" video.
The Hessische Landesmuseum in Wiesbaden saw hundreds of additional visitors over the weekend, including a family from Hamburg and many American families stationed at a US base.
- The visitors came to see an Art Nouveau painting by Friedrich Heyser featuring Ophelia.
- Ophelia is a character from William Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
The painting bears a striking resemblance to the opening scene of Swift's current No. 1 hit video, "The Fate of Ophelia."
Museum spokesperson Susanne Hirschmann confirmed the influx of visitors to the Associated Press.
