Group Celebrates 50 Years of Support for Victims of Sexual Violence
Sexual Violence New Brunswick has supported thousands of victims since its establishment in 1975.
The community-based nonprofit agency provides low-barrier trauma-informed support to survivors of sexual violence, including a support line, counselling, legal assistance, advocacy, and support groups.
Sexual Violence New Brunswick is a community-based nonprofit agency. We’ve provided a lot of low-barrier trauma-informed support to survivors of sexual violence, and that includes our support line, which runs from 5 PM to 8 AM every day, both texting and chat and talking on the phone.
Justice Lead Andie Marks emphasizes the importance of specialized services for survivors of sexual violence, dispelling myths and stereotypes surrounding the issue.
