BYD, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced its largest recall to date, affecting over 115,000 cars.
The recall was prompted by regulators who found safety risks related to design and battery issues. The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) stated that BYD will recall 44,535 Tang series SUVs and 71,248 Yuan Pro electric cars.
BYD has filed a plan to replace parts and update systems free of charge.
