Head of the Charles Regatta to Proceed as Planned
Despite a growing toxic algae bloom in the Charles River, the Head of the Charles Regatta will take place as scheduled this weekend, according to city health officials.
A cyanobacteria public health advisory has been expanded to include all areas downstream of the Cambridge Street Bridge. However, the advisory has been lifted at Magazine Beach and the BU DeWolfe Boathouse, where the regatta will be held.
