Amazon Prime Cancels Australian Adaptation of The Office
Amazon-owned streamer Prime Video in Australia has confirmed that its local version of the BBC scripted comedy format The Office will not be renewed for a second season.
The eight-part series premiered worldwide, except in the US, on October 18 last year, and became the most successful Australian Prime Video Original, with the biggest opening weekend viewership for any Australian title on the platform.
- The series secured a second window in Australia with free-to-air broadcaster Network 10.
- It screened on Network 10 in August and September this year.
- The show also reached number 1 on Prime Video in New Zealand and Singapore.
No official statement was given for the cancellation.
