Will SCOTUS Rig the House?
A recent group email from Capitol Hill predicted the potential extinction of the Democratic Party following a Supreme Court decision overturning the remaining parts of the Voting Rights Act.
This decision could essentially end African-American political representation in the states of the old Confederacy, as most majority-minority districts would disappear.
Republican state legislatures would be free to redraw districts, spreading and diluting African-American voters into safely Republican districts.
