Coastal Flooding in New Bern
Coastal flooding continues to impact New Bern as high tide rolls in, with worse flooding expected this afternoon and late tonight.
The city has reported that several low-lying spots are impassable due to north eastern winds and flooding, including:
- Oaks Road at the bridge
- Council Bluff Green along East Front Street
- Areas along Renny's Creek
Union Point Park remains closed due to flooding. According to WITN's First Alert Weather Team, the worst of the coastal flooding will occur with the early afternoon high tide.
